How to Replace Cup Holders in the 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan

1.

Grasp firmly the pull-out drawer in which the cup holders are located. Make sure the cup holders are fully withdrawn from the instrument panel. A plastic retaining tab on the back side of the drawer keeps the cup holders from coming out too far.

2.

Pry down on the plastic retaining tab holding the drawer in the instrument panel, using a flat-head screwdriver. Remove the drawer from the instrument panel and set it aside.

3.

Insert the replacement cup holders into the opening in the instrument panel. Pry down on the plastic retaining tab with the screwdriver, taking care not to apply too much pressure, as the tab could break. The cup holders should be flush with the rest of the instrument panel.

Tips and Warnings

  • Make sure you completely pulled out the cup holder drawer if the detent arms on the cup holders do not work. The detent arms should ratchet open and shut to securely hold your container.
  • Consider checking for replacement cup holders at salvage yards.
  • Prying too hard on the plastic retaining tab could break the replacement cup holder.
