Go to Trevelegue Holiday Park. This is the main part of the festival and where the bands, mostly dance acts, will be performing.

5.

Check out the Show and Shine at the Tregunnel car park. This is where people show off there Volkswagen vans and cars, but there will also be other small events and food stalls scattered around. You can have your car on display as well and give yourself the chance to be the prize winner. There will an entry fee, but it has yet to be announced.

6.

Cruise to the festival in your VW. A host of Volkswagen Beetles and camper vans leave from Reading at 9am on the day of the festival and drive all the way to Newquay (see the Volksworld link below).

Cornwall's Run to the Sun is a celebration of the Volkswagen, with a little dance music tacked on. In it's 22nd year this festival is set in the seaside town of Britain's number one surfing spot, Newquay. In fact Run to the Sun organisers claim the event is created through the natural affinity of the beach and car cultures. Whatever, this Spring festival attracts nearly 100,000 people every year and is certainly worth checking out. Here's how to make the most of it.
