Britax Roundabout Car Seat Installation

Rear-Facing LATCH

1.

Recline the Britax Roundabout fully by pulling on the recline handle located at the front of the seat's base.

2.

Thread the LATCH connectors through the slot located under the bottom area of the seat, running parallel to the floor.

3.

Depress the red button on the left LATCH connector, and then connect it to the left LATCH anchor installed in your car. Depress the red button on the right LATCH connector, and then connect it to the right LATCH anchor installed in your car.

4.

Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and pull on the strap until there is no slack left in the LATCH strap.

5.

Test the installation by moving the seat left and right, the seat should not move more than one inch either way.

Rear-Facing Shoulder Belt

1.

Recline the Britax Roundabout fully by pulling on the recline handle located at the front of the seat's base.

2.

Pull the seat belt out from the wall of the car. Thread the belt through the bottom slot located under the bottom area of the seat, running parallel to the floor.

3.

Buckle the seatbelt into the corresponding connector. Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and remove the slack from the lap area of the seat belt and then from the shoulder are of the seat belt.

4.

Pull the shoulder portion of the seat belt all the way out until the belt stops, slowly allow the shoulder portion to retract, you should hear a clicking sound. This will lock the seat belt into place, not allowing it to be pulled out from the wall of the car.

5.

Test the installation by moving the seat left and right, the seat should not move more than one inch either way.

Rear-Facing Lap Belt

1.

Recline the Britax Roundabout fully by pulling on the recline handle located at the front of the seat's base.

2.

Thread the lap belt through the bottom slot located under the bottom area of the seat, running parallel to the floor.

3.

Buckle the seatbelt into the corresponding connector. Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and remove the slack from the lap belt by pulling on the tail end of the belt.

4.

Test the installation by moving the seat left and right, the seat should not move more than one inch either way.

Forward-Facing LATCH

1.

Lift the cover from the bottom area of the seat. Thread the LATCH connector through the slot located at the back of the seat.

2.

Depress the red button on the left LATCH connector, and then connect it to the left LATCH anchor installed in your car. Depress the red button on the right LATCH connector, and then connect it to the right LATCH anchor installed in your car.

3.

Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and pull on the strap until there is no slack left in the LATCH strap.

4.

Test the installation by moving the seat left and right, the seat should not move more than one inch either way.

Forward-Facing Shoulder Belt

1.

Pull the seat belt out from the wall of the car. Thread the belt through the slot located at the back of the seat.

2.

Buckle the seatbelt into the corresponding connector. Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and remove the slack from the lap area of the seat belt and then from the shoulder are of the seat belt.

3.

Pull the seat belt out from the wall of the car. Thread the belt through the slot located at the back of the seat.

2.

Buckle the seat belt into the corresponding connector. Apply pressure to the seat area of the Roundabout and remove the slack from the lap belt by pulling on the tail end of the belt.

3.

Test the installation by moving the seat left and right, the seat should not move more than one inch either way.

Tips and Warnings

  • The Britax Roundabout should remain rear facing until the child is one year old and at least 20 pounds, though you may keep your child rear-facing until they reach 35 pounds. A child may ride in the Roundabout forward-facing until she reaches 40 pounds or 40 inches. The back angle of a seat that is rear-facing should be between 30 degrees and 45 degrees from vertical.
  • The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends a child remain in the rear-facing position until they exceed the 35 pound weight limit of the Britax Roundabout. Never use an expired seat, or a seat that has been in an accident.
  • Refer to your car's manual for guidance on the best placement of a child seat.
