How to Park a Car Uphill

Drive the car as close to the curb or side of the road as possible. Put the car into park. If you are driving a stick shift, put it in second gear.

Rotate the steering wheel so the wheels are pointed outward, or away from the edge you parked against.

Turn off the car. Pull up the parking brake.

Place the tire blocks behind the wheels.
