How to Prevent Windshield Cracks

1.

You're driving your car. You hear that "pop". Scan the road or freeway for the infamous truck carrying who knows what, but is dropping pebbles or whatever onto the freeway. Obviously, try to get away from the truck or vehicle.

2.

Well, at least in my experience, getting away from the truck or vehicle isn't that easy. Usually, you're not the only one driving on the freeway. So, you'll still get popped by this truck's debris. Until you can get away from the truck, turn on your windshield wipers. Then, squirt your windshield with washer fluid.

3.

Keep your wipers going and your windshield wet by squirting fluid until you are away from the truck or car . If you do this, it is guaranteed that you will reduce the risk of windshield damage. You probably won't even get popped.

Tips and Warnings

  • Do not do this and talk on your cell phone
